Our house has two floors, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the first floor plus three bedrooms and two bathrooms on the second floor. This affords some degree of privacy and separation between those who occupy the upper and lower bedrooms, yet it also allows staircase-averse guests to stay on the first floor with full facilities. The total area under the roof (including garage, entry, and porch (lanai) is 2765 sq ft.

The floor plans for the first and second floors are shown here. The 17-foot-high ceiling in the family room provides an airy and spacious feel, as it is open to the level of the second floor ceiling.
